About the Orange Corners Nigeria
The Orange Corners incubation programme enables aspiring entrepreneurs to be nourished and trained to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurial leaders. It provides aspiring Nigerian young entrepreneurs with a dynamic, state-of-the-art facility, where they get the opportunity to collaborate and work with like-minded individuals.
The programme ensures capacity building in the form of trainings, master classes, events, coaching & mentoring, and access to potential customers, markets and financing. Orange Corners Lagos is developed and funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Lagos and implemented by FATE Foundation. The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Lagos and FATE Foundation aim to contribute to a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nigeria, which provides economic opportunities, skills and economic empowerment for the youth.
To qualify, participants must be between the ages of 18 – 35 years of age with a business concept. Key benefits include:

Following a review of all received applications, 30 candidates will be shortlisted for a 2-day Bootcamp which will culminate in a Pitch Competition to shortlist the top 20 participants per stream to go through the Incubation programme.
Through the support of the Kingdom of Netherlands Orange Corners, and other Partners, the programme is FREE to entrepreneurs who are shortlisted to the Bootcamp and incubation stage. This scholarship support from Orange Corners Nigeria covers all direct course fees including course materials, books, feeding.
This is a non-residential programme and it is expected that each entrepreneur enrolled for the programme must be able to get themselves to and from the Orange Corners Location at FATE Foundation which will be communicated during the shortlisting process.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, you must be:
Age: Between 18 – 35 years old
Residence: Reside in Lagos
Business Stage: Concept Validation
Sector Preferences: Circular Economy (Upcycling, Recycling, Environmental Sustainability), Agribusiness, Health, Education & Creatives.
Gender: Strong Focus on a Gender Balance
Digital: Computer Literate and have Access to a Laptop or Data Enabled Device
When Can I Apply?
Applications for the first stream will be open from May 3 – May 31, 2019 while that of the second stream will be open from January 1 – January 18 2019.
How many entrepreneurs are you selecting per stream?
For each stream, we will be selecting 30 entrepreneurs who will take part in the 2-day Bootcamp and then 20 final entrepreneurs to be shortlisted for the incubation program.
Is there a Fee to Participate?
There is no direct fee to the participants to participate in the programme. The tuition and programme fees are covered by the programme partners. However, participants are expected to be able to get themselves to and from the training venue and cover their transportation expenses as required.
How Do I Know if my Application Has Been Successful?
Only applicants shortlisted to the Bootcamp stage will be contacted.
Can I make changes to my application after I have submitted or do I do a Fresh Application Instead?
No. Once you have submitted it is final and you will not be able to edit the application. Also, multiple entries will be disqualified. We encourage you to verify your application carefully before submitting.
What is the time involvement expected for participants?
Participants will expect to be available for the full 2-day bootcamp and 1 day a week for the 3 month training phase of the programme. The selected participants will have access to the full programme agenda and timeline requirements after the completion of the selection process.
