Dr. (Mrs) Caroline Olufemi Ogunsanya gained a Second Class Upper with Honours in Botany from the University of Lagos, followed by a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Bristol, UK. She lectured at the University of Lagos for ten years, in the Faculty of Science after which she relocated to London as a Research Fellow at the University College London, for three years. In 1993, she returned to Nigeria and established Oxbridge Tutorial College. Oxbridge was the first Sixth Form College in the country and remains the premiere specialist Sixth Form College based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Dr. Ogunsanya is Chairman of the Board of Governors Association of Private Educators in Nigeria (APEN), Chairman of the Lagos Anglican Schools Management Board (LASMAB) and Chairman of Igbobi College, Yaba. She also sits on the Board of Preparation for Life (PFL), an educational consultancy outfit.
